The ACPFG has a strong communication and education program. As well as Get into Genes, our student education program, run jointly with the MPBCRC, and the more advanced Powerful Proteins workshop, we run workshops and provide speakers at events for the general public.

We have interactive exhibits at city shows and rural field days. We run quiz nights and provide lectures at public events and conferences for teachers, farmers or plant breeders, even local community groups.

We can give interactive workshops and lectures on issues like understanding DNA and genes, the technologies behind genetic modification, or the regulation and use of genetically modified products in Australia.

We also offer tours of the ACPFG headquarters at the Waite campus, for those able to visit us in Adelaide.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you would like to be involved in a community outreach event, or would like us to present a workshop or lecture for your event or organisation. All ACPFG community outreach activities are free.
