1) Testing and implementation of heterologous protein expression
systems, specifically;
a) Vacuum infiltration
of Agrobacterium tumafaciens into intact plant leaves,
b) Syringe injection of Agrobacterium tumafaciens
into intact plant leaves,
c) Assessing other novel
protein expression systems.
2) Testing of novel protein tags for use in protein detection and
purification.
3) Transiently Induced Gene Silencing (TIGS) system.
4) Constructing vectors for use in protein expression and TIG
systems.
5) Assisting fellow researchers in the laboratory with aspects of
this research.
