Expertise and Research Interests

I began my research experience in fungal genetics, specifically carbon and nitrogen metabolism in Aspergillus nidulans. After this, I started work at the ACPFG on sodium exclusion in the diploid wheat Triticum monococcum and creating mutant TILLING populations in wheat and barley as part of the stress responses in adapted cereals program at the Waite Campus.

I am currently in the first year of my PhD at the University of Melbourne on the metabolomics of wheat and barley in response to a variety of stresses including salt, frost and drought.

Supervisors: Ute Roessner and Tony Bacic
